Title: Technical Advisor Project Advisor for Community-based-Organisations  Period of Assignment: 1 year Location: Gaziantep Project: BRIDGE The project BRIDGE - Strengthening the Capacity of the Civil Society is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZBRIDGE focuses on the necessary planning, implementation, and networking skills of civil society actors for change processes at the local levelAccordingly, the overall objective is: Civil society organizations, women, and young people, as agents of change, have made better use of the remaining room to manoeuvre for social participation within SyriaOne output of the project aims to improve the public discourse on development engagement at community level and to have a greater presence of development-related issuesFocus is here on women and young people and on the local media, to increase the social awareness of the target group s interests and to inspire others for more active community engagementAMain Responsibilities Capacity Building, Coordination and NetworkingIdentifies and categorizes Community-based-Organisations CBOs inside Syria including women and youth groups, local community initiativesDesigns engagement strategies tailored to the unique needs and challenges of these CBOs prioritizing capacity building and empowermentDevelops clear and culturally sensitive communication plans towards the CBOsOrganizes workshops, skill-building sessions, mentorship programs, and networking events to empower and to capacitate local CSOs inside Syria and to enhance their professional growthCapacitates CSOs in developing project activities according to the BRIDGE outputs and objectivesEncourages collaboration among these CBOs to create a supportive ecosystem that promotes youth and women s empowerment opportunitiesDevelops documentations, manuals, reports, and guidelines related to the implementation of projects Implementation of project activities and project managementFollows up the technical implementation of the contracts with CBOs remotely.Follows up the CBOs reporting and indicators and providing feedback to themAdvises the implementing CBOs in the implementation of their respective projects and the related activitiesFeeds the project team on challenges and success of the projects.Ensures close cooperation with the finance and M&E colleagues to fulfill the project requirements.Coordinates with the Service unit and country office for contracting processCooperates closely with other technical colleagues in the BRIDGE team All activities and tasked listed above are implemented remotely and digitallyBRequired qualifications, competencies, and experience EducationUniversity degree BA- BSc, MA- MSc, PhD in Social Sciences or related field Professional ExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience organizational capacity building, project management etcİn a similar position with an international or national organization or institutionThematic Knowledge and experiences on youth and women empowermentExperience in conflict analysis and stakeholder mapping; profound knowledge of the Syrian conflict necessarySubstantial and granular knowledge of dynamics of Syrian civil society inside and diaspora Other Knowledge and Additional CompetenciesHighly organized and detail-oriented, with strong ability to multi-task and deliver quality work on time under pressureAbility to keep track of and reconcile multiple data sources with minimum errorHighly collaborative, team player and experienced in working in multi-cultural organizations and in a fast-paced environmentReliable with confidential information and materialsAbility to work in an international multicultural team with loyalty, reliability, and toleranceHigh motivation and ability to work independently and meet deadlines without compromising the quality of outputsExcellent written and spoken English and Arabic, knowledge of German and Turkish is an assetInterest and ability to flexibly learn and adapt to new concepts Applications:Interested and qualified candidates are requested to apply through our by filling in the digital application form as well as submitting their CV in GIZ Turkey’s format, university diplomas BA- BSc, MA- MSc, PhD and a Cover Letter in English, stating their qualifications and previous professional experiencesThe deadline for application is the 25th of February 2025Only shortlisted candidates will be contactedGIZ is committed to gender balance and diversity without distinction as to race, sex or religionGIZ is encouraging persons with disabilities to apply for the positionATTENTION: PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV IN THE GIZ CV FORMATTHE APPLICATIONS IN ANY OTHER CV FORMAT WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.
