Title: Security Risk Management Advisor Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension Location: İstanbul  AMain Tasks and Responsibilities Achieve risk mitigation for national and international staff and assets of GIZ-Turkey in the area of responsibilities AoR as assigned by RMOEnsure dissemination and implementation of Risk Management Office policies-procedures to all project staff in AoRInformation management: collecting, collating and timely sharing of security-related information and recommendations with RMOIncident reporting, mapping, and analysis for AoR and recommendationsDevelop and update security and crisis management plans for AoR conducting a security risk assessment of Areas of Operation AoOProvide immediate incident response in AoRAct as a member of the AoO crisis management teamProvide input to RMO for weekly, quarterly, and any other security reportsLiaise and establish good relationships with national law enforcement, military and civil intelligence authorities, counterparts in the Diplomatic Missions, and municipal-civic-traditional leaders in AoR concerning security issuesConduct site assessments for offices, residences, and venuesSupport projects-programmes in developing and updating location-specific SOPs and protocolsConduct security briefings for staff visiting AoRAdvise project-programme staff on security issues in consultation with RMO-AVAdvise on requests for travel clearances and related recommendations accordinglyOrganize security training for personnel in consultation with the Head of RMOAccompany field missions if neededMonitor security guards deployed in AoREvaluate the Security Company as per the matrix provided by RMOCapacity building and briefing of designated security focal points SFPs and facilitate security round table meetings with the SFPs of the offices and compile reports requested by the RMOSupport the projects-programmes in the implementation of generic country-wide SOPsBRequired qualifications, competencies, and experience Educational BackgroundBachelor s degree in a related subject Professional ExperienceAt least 5 years of professional experience including 3 years of experience in the relevant position and sectorDemonstrated capabilities in planning, assessment, analysis, and executing site security-related operationsKnowledge and understanding of the development-humanitarian work and international organisationsSecurity-related training courses are an added advantage Skills and QualificationsLanguage skills: Professional proficiency in Turkish and English, regional language knowledge is an asset.Advanced IT skills Microsoft OfficeExcellent report writing skillsCulturally sensitive and inclusive approachAbility to work in a cross-cultural and international environment and across teams diplomaticallyGood negotiation and communication skillsAbility to prioritise workGood decision-maker and team playerAbility to act with discretion and dedicationFlexible and able to meet deadlines  Applications:Interested and qualified candidates are requested to apply through our  by filling in the digital application form as well as submitting their CV in GIZ Turkey’s format, university diplomas BA- BSc, MA- MSc, PhD and a Cover Letter in English, stating their qualifications and previous professional experiencesThe deadline for application is the 13th of April, 2025Only shortlisted candidates will be contactedGIZ is committed to gender balance and diversity without distinction as to race, sex or religionGIZ is encouraging persons with disabilities to apply for the positionATTENTION: PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV IN THE GIZ CV FORMATTHE APPLICATIONS IN ANY OTHER CV FORMAT WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.
